Emily

My name is Emily, and I am a Spanish and ESL teacher at the Language Hub. When I took my first Spanish class in high school, I discovered that learning a language is so much more than just the language itself— it’s also history, culture, art, music, food, travel and more! I enjoy bringing these elements into my teaching as much as possible to create a fun and authentic learning experience for my students. 

 

I began my teaching career in Madrid, Spain as an English teacher, and upon returning home to Virginia, continued teaching in Henrico County Public Schools up until my daughter was born. While I now spend my days raising my two young children, I enjoy being involved in the language-learning community as much as I can! I am so excited to share this passion for the Spanish language and culture with you!
